The Boodles Day 3 - Match summaries, highlights and interviews

The sun shone again on day three of The Boodles at Stoke Park.  Celebrity guests including Dame Denise Lewis, Kate Silverton, Andrea McClean, Alexandra (Binky) Felstead and Ollie Locke enjoyed a day of world-class tennis in the beautiful English country garden party setting.

Stefanos Tsitsipas d. Sebastian Korda 76(4) 46 10-9

Greek superstar Stefanos Tsitsipas returned to The Boodles where he faced American talent Sebastian Korda on the sun-soaked stadium court. The pair traded blows throughout the first set, which Tsitsipas edged on a tie-break 76(4). Korda fought back to take the second set 64 and take the match to a deciding match tie-break. Tsitsipas raced to a 9-3 lead and despite a fight-back by Korda to 9-7, Tsitsipas claimed the victory 10-7.

Felix Auger-Aliassime d. Laslo Djere 62 57 10-2

Felix Auger-Aliassime made it two for two at The Boodles with victory of Serbia’s Laslo Djere 62 57 10-2. The Canadian raced to a 62 lead in the first set and looked to have things wrapped up in two at 5-4 in the second before Djere took three games in a row to claim the second set 75. Auger-Aliassime ensured he didn’t let the match get away from him, playing a strong match tie-break to take the match 62 57 10-2.

Thanasi Kokkinakis d. Diego Schwartzman 63 64

Australia’s Thanasi Kokkinakis showed his pedigree on grass in the third match of the day at The Boodles against Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman. The Aussie displayed some vintage grass court serve and volley tennis to claim a straight-sets victory 63 64 in the late evening sunshine.
